Stop Making Sense

Stop Making Sense is a generative filmmaking system that explores AI's (dis)ability to find order in nonsense. It combines my experimental film and algorithmic art practices, generating unique one-of-one audioreactive films from a series of ~20,000 (and growing) handmade 16mm film frames.

Since May 2026, any experimental film festival accepting submissions can get an exclusive Stop Making Sense made just for their festival. Accepted films screen exclusively at that festival and nowhere else; rejected films are published here. If you curate a festival and are interested, please get in touch.
